On Oct. 8 I am going to Japan to promote barley with Alberta Barley Vice-Chairman Trevor Petersen.
Earlier this year, Japanese food personality Mr. Takeda BBQ came to Alberta to enjoy our great weather, some fine Alberta pork, beef, honey, canola oil and most importantly, barley.
It is the perfect time of year to enjoy a small amount of a special dessert or your favourite Christmas cookies.
The Barley Council of Canada’s (BCC) public relations coordinator Caitlan Carver was on site in South Korea at Seoul Food 2014 to spread the word about barley’s health benefits!
