Wendy comes from a background in communications and public relations. She has been blogging about food for two years and it’s where her passion for writing and food collide.
In 2011, she found her place in the agriculture industry and her fervour and curiosity for the industry has only grown since. By asking questions and exploring revalent issues in food and agriculture, she has learned more than she could have imagined in such a short time. She now considers herself a “full-on agvocate”
She enjoys cooking, trying out new cuisines and restaurants and is always on the lookout for her next food adventure. “I enjoy learning the nutritional and health benefits of the foods we eat and exploring what the food on my plate has gone through to get there,” she said. Although she doesn’t consider herself a critic of either, she also has a weak spot for beer and wine.
Wendy believes the key to a healthy lifestyle is all about balance. While she indulges in irresistible treats (desserts are another weak spot), she finds time for physical activity and ways to stimulate her mind. Her other hobbies include teaching Zumba, practicing yoga, running, cooking, reading and travelling. She has her own food blog and is a member of the Food Bloggers of Canada.
